Richard P. Mistretta, DPM
Dr. Richard P. Mistretta received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University and his Doctorate degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency in foot & ankle surgery at Wayne State University, Hutzel Hospital, Detroit Medial Center. As Chief Resident, he directed the Podiatric Section of the Diabetes Clinic at Wayne State University Health Center in Detroit, MI. He completed an AO/ASIF trauma fellowship at St. Vincenz & Elizabeth Hospital in Mainz, Germany.
Dr. Mistretta is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is board certified in foot surgery. He is an A-O/ASIF Fellow, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, past-President, past-Treasurer, and former Member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and Scientific Meeting Committee for the Georgia Podiatric Medical Education Foundation. Dr. Mistretta holds medical staff privileges at Northside Hospital Duluth, Piedmont West Outpatient, and the Atlanta Center for Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a former member of the Georgia State Board of Podiatry Examiners, appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue.
Dr. Mistretta has published articles in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He has lectured nationally and internationally on reconstructive and traumatologic surgery of the foot & ankle.
Dr. Mistretta is married, has a daughter and son, is a parishioner and member of the music ministry at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Johns Creek, and plays drums in a local band.
Annette D. Filiatrault, DPM
Dr. Filiatrault completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University, graduating magna cum laude. She received her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and her Doctorate degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami. Additionally, she was valedictorian of her graduating podiatric medical school class. She completed a three-year residency in foot & ankle reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Northlake Medical Center in Tucker, Georgia. As a 3rd year resident she helped to run cadaver courses for the Podiatry Institute.
Dr. Filiatrault is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Filiatrault has been the chairperson and member of the board of directors for the nationally recognized The Podiatry Institute, a non-profit podiatry educational institution. She continues to extensively lecture on reconstructive foot & ankle surgery and is co-chairperson of the Utah Winter Seminar. Dr. Filiatrault does most of her surgery at Piedmont Hospital, Emory Decatur Hospital, and the Atlanta Center for Foot and Ankle Surgery. She has written chapters for the 4th edition of McGlamry's Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is proud to be a Piedmont Clinic member.
Dr. Filiatrault has a special interest in Sports Medicine and was a Division I soccer player at Vanderbilt during which time they won the SEC championship twice. She also played for the Atlanta Silverbacks, a women’s semi-professional team, for whom she served as team podiatrist. Currently, she is the team podiatrist for the Atlanta United Football Club. She is also active in Crossfit and Weightlifting.
Dr. Lauren Hill
Dr. Hill, a Georgia native, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Georgia College and State University. She received her doctorate degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed a three-year residency in foot & ankle reconstructive surgery from Emory University at Emory Decatur in Decatur, GA (PMSR/RRA) where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Hill is Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (Foot/RRA). She has professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Hill is a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute and has given lectures nationwide as well as taught cadaver courses to podiatric surgeons and residents. She has also authored multiple update chapters for the Podiatry Institute.
Dr. Hill has medical staff privileges at Piedmont Hospital Atlanta, Piedmont West Outpatient, Emory Decatur Hospital, and Northside Hospital Duluth as well as the Atlanta Center for Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Hill enjoys indoor cycling and cheering on the Atlanta Falcons with her husband.
